Frequently Asked Questions

  • Even when previous X-rays are available, we may need additional images taken at specific

angles or positions to fully evaluate your pet’s condition. For certain procedures, such as TPLO

surgery, we also take specialized X-rays using a measuring tool. These images allow us to

accurately plan the surgery and help ensure the best possible outcome for your pet.

  • A cold or warm compress can help reduce swelling and keep your pet more comfortable. Check

the foot below the bandage regularly—if it feels colder than the other foot, remove the bandage

right away and contact our office so we can guide you on next steps.

  • All of our appointments begin with a consultation so we can evaluate your pet’s specific case

and answer any questions you may have about the procedure and post-operative care. In some

cases, the consultation and surgery can be completed during the same visit if your pet has a

current, confirmed diagnosis from your primary veterinarian. If the diagnosis has not been

confirmed or additional testing is needed, the consultation and surgery will need to be

    scheduled as separate appointments.

  • At this time, we do not offer payment plans. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and

CareCredit. Please note that we are unable to accept checks.

  • Yes! And unfortunately, there are minimal good alternatives at this time. Many dogs can get to their incision around the "inflatable" collars. 4/5 dogs will still continue to lick at their incision with the "lick sleeve".
